Environmental Graphics was born in the garage of a suburban Tampa, Fla. home. With employee cars parked in the driveway and a guest bedroom turned into a workspace, EGI’s James Kirk started his sign company. Despite its limited infrastructure and limited clientele, EGI made a niche for itself — offering products of the highest quality and making customer satisfaction its highest priority.

When the guest bedroom became too small for EGI’s three employees and their ever-increasing workload, EGI moved into its first official office space. EGI remained in that facility for the next ten years and saw the addition of many vinyl cutters, a large format inkjet printer and its first CNC router. By the time EGI moved into the company’s most recent facility, it was literally bursting at the seems.

Now, housed in an extensive office building on a beautiful lakefront property, EGI has become the Southeast’s leading manufacturer and supplier of ADA-compliant architectural signage systems. EGI specializes in chemically-welded, tamper-proof and versatile interior signage, from door signs to egress signs. EGI’s current staff of wayfinding and sign design experts can manufacture various sign systems for any client. Although business is booming and the company has left the garage far behind, EGI still provides products of the highest quality while making customer satisfaction its highest priority.
