One of the five largest of its kind in the state of Florida, The Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at the Boca Raton Community Hospital is a spectacle. The massive, 98,000-square-foot, $73 million facility opened its doors during the Fall of 2008 and is on pace to treat more than 3,000 patients each year. Not only is this facility one of the most technologically advanced cancer centers in the nation, it also offers multimodality care, where a patient has an entire medical team in one location.
This new, state-of-the-art facility is also home to new, state-of-the-art signage. EGI designed a unique signage system for the Lynn Cancer Institute, featuring interior signs that were custom
fabricated of acrylic and architectural resins infused with hundreds of pieces of bamboo. EGI designed and manufactured the entire sign system, everything from aluminum interior and exterior dimensional letters to chemically welded interior ADA signage and interchangeable directories.
This signage system is the precursor to what will become EGI’s new line of Green signs. Check out the gallery below to get a sneak peek of what’s to come.
