Project: James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital
Location: Tampa, FL
Contractor: J.O. DeLotto & Sons
EGI just finished an install at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Fla. The renovated wing is now home to the Spinal Cord Injury Center, a 30 bed wing offering long-term residence for veterans who need 24-hour nursing care.
According to a recent story by ABC Action News in Tampa, the new F Wing is a state of the art facility.
The new wing includes mobile computerized medical records, high-tech lifting machines for patients in every room and suck and puff technology that allows even ventilator dependent quadriplegics to move around, control their own TV and lights.
And in terms of signage, EGI installed all the signage for wing. Some signs have four windows to be modified by the hospital staff while others are solely chemically welded door signs.
